Cyberinfrastructure for Geodynamic Studies Related to the Vrancea Seismogenic Zone

 


 

Complete HPCC solution fo geodynamics studies in the Vrancea seismogenic study area.

HPCC system has the following configuration:

    -1344 computing nodes with 2.0 GHz (28 computing nodes Dell R 815 with 48 cores each (4x12))
    - memory: 5 nodes x 128 GB + 23 nodes x 96 GB; Total: 2.9 TB RAM.
    - interconnect QDR (40 Gb/sec) for MPI traffic, Gb for management and booting
    - storage capacity 40 TB Panasas (scalable up to 4 PB)
    - 2 master nodes/login in failover setting
    - management software: Bright Cluster Management 5.2
    - operation system: CentOS 6.0 (Final)
    - compilers: gcc, intel, pgi
    - cooling system: 2 x 25 kW unitati Liebert
